The composition and characteristics of food residue were analyzed, and the processing technologies of food residue using composting method were studied in this paper. The unit processing equipment structures of food residue were designed. The experimental results showed that 91% of the reduction rate of food residue processing and its resource utilization could be realized by using the unit processing equipment.
