Submission Guidelines


Journal of Food Science and Technology (CN 10-1151/TS, ISSN 2095-6002) is published bimonthly, which was founded in 1983 and originally named as Journal of Beijing Technology and Business University (Natural Science). It is managed by the Beijing Education Committee, and run by Beijing Technology and Business University. Professor Sun Baoguo, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, is the chief editor of our journal. The articles published in this journal have been included in several international authoritative retrieval systems, such as Compendex (EI), Scopus, Food Science and Technology Abstracts (FSTA) in Britain, Chemical Abstracts (CA), Digest Magazine in Russia (AJ), and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory (Network Edition) (Ulrichsweb) in America. And it has also entered into several important Chinese databases, such as Chinese core journals of Science and Technology, Chinese Agricultural core journals, and RCCSE Chinese academic journals. Our main issue in the field of food science and technology and related basic research, processing technology, fresh-keeping, analyze, test, clean production, safety regulation, machinery and packaging technology, and so on the latest scientific research achievements, including to explore new theories, new methods and new food field technology research papers, and food science frontier development dynamic quality review articles.

This journal is meticulously managed by the "national excellent university of science and technology periodicals quality prize" editorial team, and we welcome national experts and scholars of food technology and related area to contribute.

1. Manuscript Requirements

True, reliable data, view clear, logical, innovative, scientific, accuracy, practicality and readability. The author shall ensure that no signature, no draft, no leaks, no political problem, without conceit. Each manuscript (including text, graphics, references, English abstract, etc.) is generally not more than 6000 words. Must have Chinese and English title, author, name and unit, summary about 450 words in both English and Chinese, 3 ~ 8 Chinese and English keywords, the table topic and topic in both English and Chinese.

2. Contributions and Contribution Processing Cycle

Authors can log on to our editorial system (http://www.btbuspxb.com) to submit manuscripts. Please consult our submitting template, which can be downloaded in the editorial system. We adopt expert and author double-blind peer review process. For manuscripts meeting our requirements of publication, it is usually takes one month to receive processing opinions. Welcome to contact the editorial office, if you dont receive any feedback over a month. Discretion is permitted after three months overdue. In the editorial system, you can view acceptation and modification suggestions.

3. References

General research papers should have about 25 references, and not less than 15, review papers should have not less than 30 references. References in recent five years should be not less than half of the total numbers, and more than 5 references should be cited from foreign literatures. The format of the references refers to GB/T 7714-2015 "reference information and literature cataloguing rules". Bilingual control is required for Chinese references.

4. Copyright

Manuscript once hired, the author must agree to the manuscript copyrights, compilation right, translation right, reproduction right, distribution rights, information network transmission rights. Our journal will pay remunerations one-off to authors when papers published. Please make a statement during submission if you dont agree to the copyright.

5. Publishing Ethics

One of the most common types of publication misconduct is plagiarismwhen one author deliberately uses another's work without permission, credit, or acknowledgment. Plagiarism takes different forms, from literal copying to paraphrasing some else's work and can include:

Plagiarism has varying different levels of severity, such as:

 How much of someone's work was takena few lines, paragraphs, pages, the full article?

 What was copiedresults, methods, or introduction section?

When it comes to your work, always remember that crediting the work of others (including your advisors or your own previous work) is a critical part of the process. You should always place your work in the context of the advancement of the field, and acknowledge the findings of others on which you have built your research.
